 Yayasan Ekosistim Nusantara Berkelanjutan is a non-profit organization that aims to enhance various local initiatives of Tanah Papua at national and international levels to provide support for sustainable management of natural resources in Indonesia. The EcoNusa Foundation was established on July 21, 2017 in Jakarta. EcoNusa encourages the development of the capacity of civil society organizations to conduct advocacy, campaigns, communication, stakeholder engagement, and dialogue among stakeholders to meet the sustainable management of natural resources and promote transparency, conservation, and equality values. To achieve its mission, EcoNusa carries out several programs including Local Community Resilience, Policy Advocacy, Eastern Indonesia Communication Center, and Local Economic Development.

Supervisor        : Head of Domberai Office

Duty Station     : Sorong, West Papua

Job Type           : Full Time (1 year)

 

PURPOSE OF JOB

The Finance and Administration Officers staff is to assist the Head of Domberai Office in ensuring financial management is in accordance with SOPs, technical and administrative support for the smooth running of activities and programs in the Domberai area.

Personnel will be directly supervised by the Head of Domberai Office and coordinate intensely with finance staff in Jakarta.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.      Check and ensure that the advance, advance reporting, payment and reimbursement submissions submitted by all Sorong and South Sorong staff are correct and supported by valid evidence in accordance with the SOP before being approved by the Head of the Domberai Office.

2.      Review EcoNusa Partner's financial reports and inform partners if there is a lack of supporting evidence or other information to be completed and followed up immediately according to the results of the review before submitting to Finance Jakarta.

3.      Carry out supervision and technical assistance related to financial management and reporting to all EcoNusa Partners in the Domberai Landscape scope on a regular basis and other areas if needed.

4.      Coordinate with office operational staff related to the asset recording system in accordance with the SOP.

5.      Managing petty cash finances which includes: applying for replenishment of the petty cash fund, making accountability reports on the use of petty cash funds, reviewing payment requests from Sorong office staff whose funding comes from petty cash, paying, recording petty cash transactions, preparing cash reports small and seek approval from the Head of Domberai Office before sending it to the Finance Jakarta office.

6.      Support activities carried out by Econusa in the Domberai region related to administration and finance which include: payments, transaction recording, evidence collection, and reporting.

7.      Support activities carried out by Econusa in areas outside West Papua according to requests and needs.

8.      Communicating and coordinating with all staff in the Finance Unit in order to expedite the work for which they are responsible.

9.      Representing Econusa in communicating with partners and other parties related to finance.

10.   Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES

·        University Degrees from accredited academic institutions in the fields of Accounting, Secretarial, Administration, Management, and others.

·        Minimum 3 years work experience in Financial, Administration and Operations.

·        Honest, with integrity, responsible in carrying out duties, disciplined, thorough and open to receiving input for improvement of

·        Proficient in passive and active English is a plus.

·        Proficient in Ms. Word and Excel.

·        Able to work individually and team.

·        Accustomed to handling secretarial, logistics and financial administration.

·        Quickly adapt in the work environment and communicate well.

·        Able to multitask and fast.

·        Willing to travel within and outside the work location.

·        Domicile in Sorong is preferred. 

 

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

Internal               : Close coordination with Econusa staff

External              : Close coordination with external (partners, vendors, etc.)
