GIZ Indonesia for The Business Hub Indonesia / ASEAN Projects: Advisor - Hygiene in the Education Sector

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a German public-benefit federal enterprise. GIZ works worldwide in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development and has over 50 years of experience in a wide variety of areas. GIZ has been working in Indonesia since 1975. GIZ is working in Indonesia on behalf of BMZ. Other parties that commission GIZ to carry out projects include the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), the German Federal Foreign Office and the European Union. The country office Indonesia is in Jakarta.

The GIZ Business Hub Indonesia / ASEAN is the unit responsible for cooperation with the private sector. It engages companies in partnerships towards sustainable development. In these partnership projects, the Hub contributes expert advice, institutional alignment with the responsible Indonesian authorities as well as access to co-financing. As a project management office specialized on Public-Private-Partnerships, it identifies project ideas together with competent private partners. It supports project development and is actively partnering up in the implementation, to achieve the project’s goals.

This PPP initiative responds to the Indonesian government’s ambition to increase private sector engagement in development cooperation, as well as many companies’ recognition of the imperatives – and benefits – of engaging in sustainable development. The project hiring here is a partnership between GIZ and Unilever, financed by the develoPPP.de programme. To support the Business Hub and this project, GIZ is currently recruiting one Indonesian candidate for the following position:
