Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia (YRII) is an independent humanitarian and development organization. YRII, previously Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia as globally with Islamic Relief Worldwide we have been fighting poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world where more than three billion people still live in poverty.
Country Purpose:
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia has been operating since 2003, and officially became the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia in January 2022. The objective of the Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia program is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesian people and to alleviate suffering. The main sector for the programme include:

The geographical area: NTB, Aceh, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi and Jakarta Province and will be expanded to all regions of Indonesia according to the development of the organization. The implementation of the program is carried out directly by YRII or through cooperation partners.
Yayasan Relief Islami Indonesia is seeking Agroforestry & Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) Specialist based in Lombok/Bima
Reporting Line:
Post holder would directly report to Project Coordinator under the overall guidance and supervision of Area Coordinator
Job purpose:
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Agroforestry and CCA Specialist will provides and support with technical assistance to the local partners in agriculture, forestry, climate change and related sectors. The Agroforestry and CCA Specialist will support planning, implementation of agro forestry related intervention to the local partners adhered to the project focus. S/he will liaise with project stakeholder (project team, local government, local partners, volunteers, right holders and etc), In addition s/he will work closely with Local partners, and meal officer to ensure project deliverables achieved on scope, time and budget.
S/He must perform her/his assigned areas with respect to technical assessments, awareness raising, rights holders profiling, designing and delivering trainings. The respected position will capacitate the partner staff and volunteers in undertaking their duties and assignment accordingly
Specific Skills &Responsibilities:
· Provide advice on what agroforestry practices are the most resilient to climate change depending on the local context in the target project districts.
· Provide advice on quality tree planting material for farmers
· Train and advice project beneficiaries (farmers, communities) on tree planting, bio-energy plantation establishment and maintenance operations
· Track the progress of project implementation on daily, weekly and monthly bases and report to Area or Project Coordinator for further review and evaluation
· Bridge the communication with Islamic relief partner in the project area
· Document project learning, meetings, changes and activity reports undertaken by project team
· Assist the data management in YRII and partners
· Maintain close relationship with CCA working group at the national and regional level.
· Liaises with partners, GO and NGOs to exchange knowledge and good practices of Climate Change Adaptation
· Work on AX system to ensure all compliance related to finance, logistic are settled.
· Prepare any form of report (weekly, monthly and progress report)
· Along with partner lead, assess and review the performance of the volunteers and prepare recommendation for improvement
Experience/Education:
· Relevant education background in agroforestry, social development, management
· Three years minimum experience in agroforestry, climate change or relevant field.
· Capacity to work under pressure
· Computer literate with fluency of using Microsoft Word, Excel, survey tools
Skills:
· Experience and knowledge in agro-forestry with farmers and organized farmer groups
· Experience and knowledge on climate change
· Demonstrated ability to conduct/oversee evaluations, reviews, assessments, etc.
· Experience in the evaluation of development projects using a range of qualitative and quantitative methods.
· Expertise in CCA and Community Engagement is preferred
· Able to write report quality report supported by data and evidence
· Project management skill is required
· Flexible
· Knowledge and practical understanding of and ability to work within both relief and development NGO contexts.
