GIZ Indonesia for the ‘Support for Energy Access Entrepreneurs Project (SEE)’: Advisor for Green/Clean Technology Innovation

The ‘Support for Energy Access Entrepreneurs Project (SEE)’ is funded by and implemented in partnership with New Energy Nexus and supports the establishment of an innovation and early-stage start-up ecosystem in the field of ‘access to modern energy’ in Indonesia. New Energy Nexus is part of the Make-IT Alliance and the SEE project is implemented closely with Make-IT Indonesia to strengthen a digital economy that promotes development in Indonesia.

Through ideation challenges and outreach activities with local partners as part of the project, the ecosystem support is extended to rural areas.

SEE is adjacent to the open incubation and accelerator programmes provided by New Energy Nexus. The project is furthermore integrated into the GIZ-supported Energy Programme Indonesia/ASEAN, a cluster of German-Indonesian Technical Cooperation Projects funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and jointly implemented by GIZ in cooperation with the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS) and the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE).
