Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial is an Indonesian organization, born out of an active collaboration between Netherlands based Hivos and several like-minded Indonesian academics and civil society leaders who subscribe to the values and mission of Hivos. The agenda for such a collaboration was set in the context of Hivos’ desire to phase out its direct presence in Southeast Asia by promoting sincere decentralization and local ownership. As the name itself suggests, the purpose underpinning establishment of the new entity is to promote humanistic values in the social, health, and cultural fields which is defined in terms of the ability for each individual to assess and decide independently and responsibly, the right to freedom, dignity and a passion to create a just and tolerant society. Background
In 2017, Yayasan Humanis dan Inovasi Sosial (Yayasan Hivos) initiated womenunlimited.id, a website providing a central database of profiles of women from a range of backgrounds including education, environment, gender, sexuality, peace, economics and politics. This initiative aims to strengthen women’s voices and leadership and to reduce the inequality that women experience, while also promoting women’s representation and giving greater space to women in public spaces.
Currently, Women Unlimited is working with WE LEAD, a women’s voice and leadership (WVL) program initiated by Hivos SEA and JASS funded by the Global Affairs Canada. On 25 March 2021, to mark International Women’s Day, Yayasan Hivos has launched the womenunlimited.id website to the Indonesian public. This is the right and fitting moment, given the #ChoosetoChallenge theme of last year’s International Women’s Day. Womenunlimited.id collects and presents the voices of women who have chosen not to remain silent and to take over public spaces that for so long have been dominated by patriarchal values.
It has been eight months since the website launched, we realized that there are several functions could not be operated. Furthermore, we also need to make some adjustment in terms of adding sub menu of expertise, collaboration, article, and website engagement. Hence, we would like to hire a new consultant to modify the womenunlimited.id website in order to be more functional, attractive, organized, and user-friendly manner.
Scope of Work
The following task will be delivered by the selected consultant:
• Migrate the womenunlimited.id server from our previous developer’s server to Yayasan Hivos’ server.
• Migrate technology from previous developer to WordPress.
• Adding new feature and function into new website:
o Re-categorizing resource person cluster
o Adding new sub menu under “Kolaborasi”: “Kontak” and “Pendaftaran Narasumber”
o Under sub menu “Pendaftaran Narasumber” insert “Formulir Pendaftaran”, “Formulir Persetujuan”, and feature to upload the profile photo of resource person
• Upload all of the data, including but not limited to resource person’s data, articles, and media:
o Revise contact direction in each resource person Adding new hyperlink of “Kirim Pesan” in each resource person profile
• Revise menu “Cari” in the home website into three keyword searching: “Nama”, “Isu”, and “Lokasi”
• Changing link social media from Twitter WomenUnlimited to Instagram We Lead or adding new social media of Instagram We Lead
• Adding traffic analytics feature on website
• Training to staff
• Maintenance from bug and backup (1 month)
Knowledge, Experiences and Competencies
We are seeking an Indonesian team/individual with the following qualities:
• Familiarity and relevant experience in using different CMS, particularly WordPress
• Have a broad knowledge of current web development technologies and design tools in the field, and new software and other web programming languages and programs including use of HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, Macromedia Flash, and Java
• Have excellent knowledge of recent trends in graphic design, web sites, including online video publishing, and social media networking
• Demonstrate the ability to create innovative and visually appealing design
