Report to: Project Coordinator

Location: Deli Serdang, North Sumatera

 

Yayasan Nurani Luhur Masyarakat (YNLM) is a Non-profit organization concern on community development based in Medan. YNLM has program operation in North Sumatera and Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat, and possibility to expand to other areas in Indonesia. The work focus area of the project relates on Education, Health and Livelihood.

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE

In consultation with the Project Coordinator, The Project Officer is responsible for facilitating and mobilizing community members and other stakeholders to be involved in Project Creation to ensure program targets and quality of achievement. She/He will build close collaboration with local stakeholders and partners to develop methodologies and materials for planning and implementing programs in the livelihoods sector as well as intensive assistance to the target communities to improve the community's standard of welfare. Cooperate with the MEAL Officer in the collection and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data/information as well as inputs to achieve project quality improvement in accordance with the program's terms of reference.

 

RESPONSIBILITY AND TASK

1.    Project Quality

·       Prepare and ensure that program planning and implementing activities are carried out in an accountable and transparent manner

·       Collaborate in conducting assessments using PRA and AI methods

·       Planning and scheduling of activities together with the Project Coordinator

·       Ensure that program standards in the areas of livelihoods are met.

·       Increase knowledge and strengthen communities/groups.

·       Comply with the values ​​that apply in the foundation and apply in society

·       Be proactive, and sensitive to cultural, gender, environmental and cross-cutting issues

·       Use foundation funds and existing resources wisely, accountably and transparently

·       Applying the principles and values ​​of the organization in carrying out activities

·       Perform other tasks to support the project

 

2.    Community Mobilization

·       Represent YNLM in the community

·       Collaborate with community/local authority/ethnic/religious leaders in mobilizing communities in the program.

·       Organize and attend meetings with the target groups, community, stakeholder, private sectors

·       Provide technical support if needed for the target groups, community, stakeholder, private sectors

 

3.    Monitoring and Evaluation

·       Collecting data and information for survey, monitoring, evaluation and reporting purposes.

·       Collaborate with M&E to conduct quantitative and qualitative assessment through interview techniques, group discussions, observation and others

·       Regularly Report to Project Coordinator on time.

·       Coordination and feedback to the Project Coordinator in the process of monitoring activities and project planning at Pantai Labu

·       Provide information on program developments related to targets and target achievement, in accordance with Target Achievement Measurement

·       Provide feedback and suggestions on program achievements and challenges through  lesson learned, success and the most significant story

 

4.    Networking

·       Build and maintain good relations and coordination with local government and non-government stakeholders.

·       Cooperate and coordinate in the implementation of activities in accordance with government standards, guidelines and feedback

·       Represent YNLM in related meetings.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

a.     Bachelor's degree in S1 / Bachelor Degree; Preferably in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Management and Business Administration, Social Economy, Economy Development, Fishery or Agricultural Sciences and other related studies

b.    At least 3 years of professional experience in community development program.

c.    Good understanding about micro finance and small medium enterprise development.

d.    Good understanding about cooperative and The Government program in supporting local community groups.

e.    Innovation towards small business models

f.     Formulate the recommendation and best practices through evaluation based on project intervention

g.    Develop business group database based on groups assisted in project areas

h.    Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team, to work successfully in the field, and to manage and move groups of people toward completion of activities.

i.      Good team work, as well as work independently.

j.      Commitment to and understanding of Organization’s aims, values and principles.
