We are constantly growing and expanding into areas new and old. We are currently looking to fill the following position for our office in Bali:

Marine Finance Officer

(Code: MFIN-O)

 

Marine finance officer is primarily accountable for maintaining the financial, accounting, and administrative services and to ensure effective support to support CI Indonesia’s marine program and project. The marine finance officer is supervised by the Marine Finance and Administration Senior Coordinator. It is the responsibility of the marine finance officer to handle the petty cash, bank accounts and to enter all financial transactions into the accounting system (Business World).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Maintains Imprest system of Bali Office Petty cash and replenish Petty cash upon approval. Ensure the Petty cash transaction are supported by proper documents as required by CI Policy and procedure

·       Prepares all payment vouchers (Petty Cash and Bank) and General voucher, ensuring the completeness of the supporting documents attached to the voucher as well as the accuracy of computations in each of transaction. Ensures all expenses are charged to the correct charging codes and facilitates offline approvals to the transaction as per CII Level of Authority.

·       Daily inputs of all financial transaction (including scanning and uploading all vouchers) into CI’s accounting system, making sure that all transactions are correctly entered in order to produce a correct balance of all account that Bali office is maintaining and proceed with payment/disbursement of funds after all online approvals have been obtained. 

·       Prepares Monthly reconciliations of Bank and Petty Cash, Employee Advance, Activity Advance, Prepayment, Account receivable and Account Payable.  Makes sure that all reconciling items are properly followed-up.

·       Created VMF and upload document related to in CI system as well.

·       Maintains the files of payment vouchers, general journal vouchers, financial reports, bank statement, reconciliation, and other financial documents of Bali office.

 

 

PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       This job does not directly manage staff but assists peers and may direct the work of interns, temporary employees, or contractors.

·       Not accountable for an operating budget but tracks and monitors expenditures. Initiates check requests or similar routine transactions within established guidelines.  

·       Activities help manage public or private funds but not directly accountable.  Familiar with the requirements of donor agreements and CI's donor related policies and procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

      College degree in accounting or Management with at least 3 years of experience in relevant field

      Competence and experience in Operation computer software, i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel

      Knowledge and experience in filling data and information

      Experience in cash management and financial report preparation

      Good team player

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

List additional required or preferred qualifications specific to the position.

·       Experience using Business World or Agresso or other financial software applications

·       Experience in dealing with vendor and procurement process

·       Good knowledge of Indonesian Tax Regulation

·       Prior USAID or NGO experience will be an added value.
