Stop TB Partnership Indonesia is looking for a full-time/part-time staff to assist Stop TB Partnership Indonesia (STPI) program team

Qualification

  1. University degree/ Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1), preferably in the field of international relations, health social science, human rights, journalism, communications or in other related fields; and be familiar with program management;

2.    At least two years of relevant experience in journalism, public relation or in a similar role with other non-governmental organizations (NGOs);

  1. A minimum of three-year experience in NGOs;

4.    Adequate understanding of Tuberculosis (TBC) and Community, Right, and Gender (CRG) issues in Indonesia;

5.    Extensive knowledge of national media across traditional and digital platforms, with an established network of media contacts;

6.    Excellent writing skills with a good track record of producing different types of high-quality media outputs, including press releases and op-eds;

7.    Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and experience of managing social media channels;

8.    Experience in developing and implementing successful media strategies and campaigns;

  1. Above-average interpersonal skills (constructive attitude, positive thinking, practical problem solving, and ability to adapt with team members and stakeholders) and communications skills (both verbal and written);

10. A willingness to travel regularly throughout the Indonesian region, including local visit journalism;

11. Fluency in written and spoken English;

  1. Ability to learn quickly, follow directions, report analysis, and identify problems;
  2. Ability to work independently and to deliver quality work on time;
  3. Demonstrating tolerance and respecting diversity in culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age;

15. (Desirable) Knowledge of graphic design software and experience in developing content (including infographics and visual content for online platforms).

Scope of Work

Stop TB Partnership Indonesia

The Stop TB Partnership Indonesia (STPI) is a national organization focus on TBC issues. STPI operates under the strategic directions of a wide range of expertise, including the Board of Trustees and Advisory Board. The boards comprise public health practitioners, academia, development partners, as well as the public and private sectors.

We are looking for a dedicated Media and Communication Officer who will ensure the quality and accountability of the media outputs and will support the Senior Program Managers. Media and Communication Officer will be based in Jakarta. S/He will report directly to the Senior Program Manager and work closely with the program team, which will manage STPI Media, draft communication materials, practical communication approaches, activities, outputs, and impact.

Duties

1.      Generate media coverage in international, regional and national media to build the organization’s profile in the region;

2.      Develop a network in national, regional, and international media contacts;

3.      Strengthen distribution of media to ensure coverage of advocacy and campaign efforts;

4.      Draft, edit, and proofread press releases and other materials media in collaboration with the Program Manager;

5.    Contribute to the development of media materials for program-related activities across the region (including fact-finding missions, press conferences and other events);

6.    Support monitoring and evaluation officer (including monitoring media coverage and media reporting);

7.    Contribute to the development of issue-specific advocacy strategies in collaboration with the Advocacy team;

  1. Analyze media content, mapping issue and stakeholders, market assessment, as well as communication audits by utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods;
  2. Support Project Officers to build relationships and networks with communities by promoting community participation in local activities (including improving community awareness);
  3. Manage and develop online publications in website, blog, and social media under the guidance of Program Managers (including publishing program outputs and program activities);

11. Strengthen program publication on social media networks (including improving existing channels and developing new platforms);

12. Develop creative and engaging content – including infographics, videos and other materials;

13. Produce broadcast-quality video reports on program activities published across online platforms to support campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and networking engagement.

Other tasks:

1.    Support the design and production of promotional materials and other printed materials, such as brochures, flyers, and reports;

2.    Assist the proofreading, formatting, and distribution of program materials;

3.    Edit, proofread, and finalize internal documents, including donor reports, activity reports, agendas, and concept notes;

4.      Carry out other duties, including program design and support in coordination with others, as required.
