Know our team

Nutrition International (NI)’s Asia Region Corporate Services Unit comprises of a team of expertise that work closely with the Country Offices in the region and HQ in Ottawa. The primary mandate for the Corporate Services Unit is to provide leadership and support in corporate and program finance management, budget management, donor reporting, procurement, and office administration functions. The Senior Finance Officer Indonesia will work closely with the Country Director, Indonesia, and regional corporate team to deliver on it mandate on all finance aspect at the country level.

 

About you

You are someone who has sound technical and professional knowledge of finance and accounting and a high level of technical skills. You have an excellent ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures to accommodate new or unusual situations and can multitask and prioritize effectively. You are well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges and rewards of working in a diverse office environment.

 

You will have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Financial Management or other related field from a recognized university with a four years of progressive financial management experience is required in an international NGO in program/grant management. Experience working with contracts and grants management database. Skills in financial management and administration. Prior staff supervisory experience and strong organizational skills are desired. Attention to detail, competent IT skills, ability to work under pressure with an analytical and methodical approach. Knowledge of Great Plains will be an added advantage.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

About the role

In this role you will be:

·         Ensuring the production of accurate and timely financial information for the country office, including reviewing financial transactions, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and reports before they are submitted to the Regional Office.

·         Responsible for processing weekly batch sheet and payments, TAs, expense reports and submission to RO.

·         Providing effective guidance and serve as a resource person to country staff in understanding and implementing Nutrition International financial and administrative policies and procedures, including effective and regular use of contracts database.

·         Responsible for financial program reporting to the CD and program staff, including milestones management and pipelines forecasting.

·         Supporting Country Director in reviewing programs and operational budget variances monthly.

·         Assisting program staff in developing budgets for grant proposals and for Program documentation.

·         Coordinating timely conduct of statutory and program audits and tracking of audit recommendation implementation.

·         Leading in the preparation of Country Office Annual Program of Works and Budget for Indonesia Country Office.
