Profile of the BANTU Project:

Palladium’s Health Technical Assistance (BANTU) is a five-year project (October 2015 – October 2021), which provides USAID and the Government of Indonesia (GOI) with a flexible mechanism to effectively and efficiently mobilize the technical expertise needed (offered either through subject-matter experts or organizations) to advance national and global health priorities set forth in USAID’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy (CDCS).  


Purpose of Position

The Indonesian Project Closure Coordinator is a short-term full-time position to support the Deputy Chief of Party. This position will provide support on the strategic overview, management and implementation of project closure process, including project closure report and subsequent actions, asset hand over plans, project report including BAST report, close-out documents required by the Client and GOI, and other needed action on on-going activities.


Reporting requirements

The position reports to the Deputy Chief of Party, BANTU Project

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate and guide BANTU Project team to implement the project closure strategic plan which includes all the functions to be performed to hand over Contract Material, Supplies, information, documents and other materials and to complete or transfer all activities and processes, and complete all activities.

·       Ensure effective systems, project closure timeline and trackers are in place to execute the project closure implementation.

·       Desk review of documents to understand the detailed objectives, designs, activities and progress on current and proposed activities.

·       Assess progress made in each final project activity against measures of quality, volume, time and cost and in particular the likelihood of it completing in time.

·       Identify activities that should be completed, or which should cease before August 2021 and develop an activity closure plan.

·       Provide technical advice to BANTU Deputy Chief of Party on project closure process and follow up on status of all actions required to be performed by staff and other counterparts outside of the BANTU Project team.

·       Support Deputy Chief of Party with the documentations and reports for USAID, MOH and other government agencies in context of project closure process.

·       Ensure adherence to USAID policy and agreed Palladium procedures for activities under his/her responsibility.

·       Willingness to go the extra mile” to ensure that the job icompleted in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·       Minimum 7 years of professional experience in USAID Project Management or higher position and experienced in completing the Project Closure process in Indonesia.

·       Extensive experience in operational management system and procedures relevant to the main roles and responsibilities of this position

·       Proven experience in strategic planning and strategic management

·       Advanced analytical skills preferably in a relevant field.

·       Strong writing skills (concept, proposal, and report writing etc.)

·       Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently. Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and coordinate a team to meet deadlines; ability to manage uncertainty and adjust to a changing work program.

·       Excellent communication skills in English are essential.

PERIOD OF CONTRACT: Up to 5 months

SALARY RANGE:  Commensurate with experience and salary history
