PURPOSE:

Islamic Relief Worldwide is looking for experienced and qualified professional to provide support to Disaster Risk Management Department’s (DRMD) STRIDE project team in “conducting and analysing the findings of context specific capacity self-assessments, capacity strengthening trajectories and institutional development support for IR Field Offices”. 

 

SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS:

It is expected from the consultant (s) to provide support and deliver results in the below areas;

-          Provide support to project team and field offices (where required) in conducting/reviewing context specific capacity self-assessments (CSAs) and developing capacity strengthening trajectories (CSTs) as per set tool

-          Conduct analysis of capacity self-assessment findings and developed trajectories by IR field offices at regional level (Asia, Middle East, East Africa and West Africa)

-          Develop long term plan/strategy of Institutional Development of IR field offices based on the findings of CSA and development trajectories

-          Explore business development opportunities on the basis of CSA analysis and interaction with various internal stakeholders

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

-          Over 10 years of professional experience in the humanitarian sector at field and international level

-          Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience of technical work related to institutional capacity assessment, analysis and related strategies development 

-          Strong knowledge of practical approaches and demonstrated experience around institutional development and organisational capacity building

-          Familiar with/good understanding of Core Humanitarian Standards, Sphere Standards, Protection Principles, Red-Cross/Red-Crescent Code of Conduct and localisation etc  

-          Excellent writing and communication skills (high proficiency in English language)

-          Time management skills and able to complete the assignment within allocated time

-          Able to travel to countries as and if required by the project team

-          Hold Indonesian Passport
