Dear Sir/Madam,

As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. On behalf of the German Government, GIZ currently provides advisory services to the Government of Republic Indonesia since 1975. For further information, please visit  www.giz.de/indonesia

In October 2016, GIZ received the accreditation as International Accredited Entity from the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and is developing GCF Concept Notes and Funding Proposals since then. In this context, GIZ started supporting the Provincial REDD+ Working Group in West Kalimantan (WK) in developing a Concept Note in 2019 for a GCF project to support the implementation of the Indonesian social forestry initiative and the REDD+ strategy.

After submitting in 2020 a Concept Note (CN) to the GCF for the cross-cutting project “Land-based mitigation and adaptation through a Jurisdictional Approach in West Kalimantan”, GIZ is now preparing together with the Provincial REDD+ Working Group in WK and other partners a Funding Proposal (FP) to be submitted to the GCF to be considered tentatively at the Board Meeting 37 in October 2023.

GIZ FORCLIME project is currently seeking a Contractor/Company to Conducting a Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (CRVA) on the forestry sector in Indonesia and providing input to a GCF Funding Proposal (FP) for the project: “Land-based mitigation and adaptation through a Jurisdictional Approach in West Kalimantan”
