Community Mobilization - Consultant
SBCC Vaccine COVID-19
BACKGROUND
Jalin Foundation, under Breakthrough ACTION for COVID-19 project is performing activities for the COVID-19 vaccination response in Indonesia to implement series of activities which includes risk communication system, coordination with partners, advocacy and public communication, community engagement and addressing uncertainty and perceptions, and managing misinformation. These activities are scheduled to be completed by July 2022. The aim of the program is to accelerate the provision of access and implementation of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccination throughout Indonesia.
Jalin Foundation is looking for consultant for community mobilization with the following scope of work:
1. Coordinate with the government and partners to provide direct support with regard to the community engagement component on COVID-19 in response on the vaccination activities
2. Develop vaccine community engagement plan and model based on targeted vaccination groups
3. Work with established groups to engage their networks at the community level with regards to vaccine uptake in five focused areas i.e., West Java, Banten, Central Java, East Java, and South Sulawesi or other area proposed by the government
4. Strengthen the capacity of networks on the Vaccine Community Engagement plan
5. With the communication team, assist to develop the material package for community outreach needed
6. Manage and implement the community engagement activities
7. Any other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
1. At least university degree (S1) majoring in public health and/or social science or other related field academic coursework or short term training in behavior and social change/social mobilization·
2. Minimum 5-years professional work experience in social mobilization, behavior change and social development programs, including technical assistance or as a consultant, preferably in similar issues
3. Knowledge and experiences in Covid prevention
4. Familiar with social mobilization and community participatory concepts, including engaging community with government
5. Able to work independently in limited supervision in his/her designated areas
6. Excellent team player with a range of people, excellent interpersonal skills, with experience in community, training and organizing work
7. Experience in report writing, preferable in English
8. Expected start date: available immediately
