KOMPAK Program

KOMPAK is an Australia-Indonesia government partnership supporting the Government of Indonesia's efforts in reducing poverty through improvements in basic service delivery and creating opportunities for work. KOMPAK focuses its efforts on three result areas:

  1. Supporting Local Governments and Service Units to better address the needs of basic service users;
  2. Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from improved village governance; and
  3. Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from increased opportunities for employment and economic development.

 

The Opportunity

The Data Analyst will provide support for the analytical needs of the KOMPAK Research and Evaluation team. The Data Analyst will contribute to data collection activities, data/information management, present relevant data/information, prepare presentation materials and help ensuring the editorial quality of KOMPAK reports.

The Data Analyst will contribute to research activities related to KOMPAK flagships: public financial management, social accountability, civil registration and vital statistics, local economic development and basic service delivery.

 

Key Duties

  • Participate in the data collection activities (both qualitative and quantitative) through KOMPAK research/study/monitoring activities
  • Conduct data management (including data cleaning and preparation), process and present data/information related to KOMPAK flagships. This data includes data sourced from third parties (e.g., SUSENAS, SAKERNAS, PODES and SUPAS), or sourced from KOMPAK research/study/monitoring activities
  • Assist Research and Evaluation team in compiling reports/data/information sourced from KOMPAK study/research/monitoring activities
  • Prepare various KOMPAK presentation materials and reports
  • Ensure the quality of KOMPAK knowledge product in accordance with criteria developed and editorially meets KOMPAK standards for dissemination and publication
  • Ensure that all deliverables are submitted in a timely manner and of high quality
  • Provide on-going advice to KOMPAK Research and Evaluation team as required
  • Coordinate with KOMPAK Research and Evaluation team and with other KOMPAK consultants in delivering the work

Key Requirements

  1. Bachelor in the socio-economic field or relevant fields
  2. At least 2 years of experience in conducting mixed-methods research for social development
  3. Ability of quantitative data processing, using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, STATA)
  4. Understanding of gender equality and social inclusion issues
