The role

Two Indonesian-based professional photographers (“the Photographers”) is sought to take photographs at KIAT program sites in Palembang, South Sumatra and Wakatobi, Southeast Sulawesi. The photos should show the facility’s support to the Government of Indonesia on topics such as road infrastructure, water and sanitation, and gender mainstreaming. For this purpose, the Photographers will be hired under a 12-month contract and be given at least one photography assignment during the contract period. The Photographers will report to the Communications Manager and will work with the Communications Team and technical teams.

The successful candidate will need to submit a medical certificate and/or negative COVID-19 test result prior to assignment. They also be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face mask, safety helmet, vest and boots hand as well as practice social distancing when carrying out the activity.

 

This role also involves the following objectives and key deliverables:

·       Visit KIAT program locations in Palembang, South Sumatra and Wakatobi, Southeast Sulawesi and coordinate with KIAT sub-contractors or GOI partners in the field during photography sessions;

·       Take quality photos on topics such as road infrastructure, water and sanitation and gender based on brief provide by KIAT. These photos should show diversity of colours and composition as well as show people interacting and doing activities rather than stills of roads, machineries or other infrastructure;

·       Edit the photos and write their captions in English;

·       Work with sub-contractors to ensure all photo objects fill in and sign consent form.

·       At least 50 high-resolution photographs per assignment complete with captions in English based on a creative brief by KIAT team;

·       A table listing the file photo name and specific caption for each photo, specifying who, what, when, where, so that more detailed information can be written later by KIAT team.

About you

You will be a motivated and proactive Photographer with the right combination of talent, energy and a commitment to technical excellence. You have:

Essential:

  • Based in Palembang, or Wakatobi;
  • At least 5 years of professional photography with a wide range of clients in private sector, advertising agencies, and media;
  • Able to operate and take photos with drone;
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds including people with disabilities;

 

Desirable

  • Available to start immediately

Remuneration

Successful Indonesian nationals will be engaged under a Provision of Service Agreement (PSA) contract in IDR, and will be subject to Indonesian employment regulations and tax obligations.
