Program title: Curriculum Development for Capacity Building Program of Legal Enforcers and Related Government Officers on Ensuring Justice for Women and Girls on Civil and Criminal Cases, particularly on Sexual Violence, Marriage Dispensation and Divorce Cases in Aceh

AIPJ2 is a five-year program which aims to support cooperation between Australian and Indonesian institutions to contribute to the overall goal of ‘Strong and accessible justice and security institutions that enhance respect for enforceable rights and rules-based governance systems, over time contributing to stability and prosperity in Indonesia and the region’.

Justice for women and girls is one of the strategies guiding AIPJ2 to ensure the rights of women and girls in Indonesia. AIPJ2 believes that ensuring the rights of women and girls in Indonesia will increase access to justice that can be enjoyed by the whole community. Justice for women and girls covers 4 (four) main activities, which are:

§  Preventing child marriage

§  Strengthening the policy and legal framework to ensure justice for women

§  Ensuring the rights of women and children in family law cases

§  Implementing Aceh Initiative on Justice for Women

In partnership with the Aceh Government, AIPJ2 has successfully conducted an International Seminar on Building a Protection System for Women and Children in Divorce Cases. The seminar has provided some recommendations including to provide  capacity building of law enforcers, government officials, CSOs, and society particularly gampong, religious/adat and women leaders.

AIPJ2 is calling for proposals from suitably qualified organizations to deliver a Curriculum Development for Capacity Building Program of Legal Enforcers and Related Government Officers on Ensuring Justice for Women and Girls on Civil and Criminal Cases, particularly on Sexual Violence, Marriage Dispensation and Divorce Cases in Aceh.
