Senior Statistician
The role
Join MAHKOTA (Towards a Strong and Prosperous Indonesian Society) program in Jakarta as a short-term adviser to design and oversee the Proxy Means Test statistical modelling as part of the updating and expansion of National Poverty Database (DTKS). The position will be responsible for coordinating closely with relevant ministries/agencies regarding the development of statistical models.

About you
You will be a motivated and proactive Senior Statistician with the right combination of talent, energy and a commitment to technical excellence. You will also have:
· Master Degree or PhD in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related subjects;
· Minimum of 10 years (Master Degree) or 5 years (PhD) of relevant work experience in statistical modelling;
· Strong capabilities to apply of mathematical and statistical techniques to economics in the study of problems, the analysis of data, and the development and testing of theories and models;
· Familiarity with data analysis and statistical analysis software packages, especially STATA, or SAS/SPSS. Able to interpret and present economic/statistical information in user-friendly formats such as MS PowerPoint and MS Excel charts;
· Familiarity with Machine Learning and Big Data Analysis;
· Familiarity with Indonesian data such as Census, Podes, Susenas, Sakernas;
· Excellent communication and writing skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Remuneration
A competitive daily rate will be offered to the preferred candidate in line with local Indonesian labour laws.
