Scope of Work  

CONSULTANT TO SUPPORT IMPLEMENTION OF TRANSISI and HARMONY PROJECT  

A.      Description/ Background of Program  

This project ensures children do not miss out school and regain a sense of normalcy in a safe, non-violent and effective child-centred learning and play environment. Year Four of the project will improve child development outcomes and school readiness of girls and boys, through strengthening the quality of ECCD and referral services. Save the Children (SC) will work with relevant departments at district level in North Lombok to ensure holistic-integrative services of education, health, and protection for children.  

The Y4 TRANSISI project will adapt the project to meet with the current situation of Covid-19 pandemic.  We will provide hygiene kits for the children and existing target communities, buckets and masks for health workers, and deliver the key messages of COVID-19 through various media channels. SC will collaborate with PAUD-HI taskforce, Covid-19 taskforce, and other agencies/INGOs, by inviting them as resource persons for parenting sessions, cascading Covid-19 information through radio broadcasts, and involving them in the distribution of hygiene kits, masks, and IEC materials.   

SC will continue mantaining EECD buildings and improving accesibility of school for Children with Disabilities (CwD), such as ensuring the availability of ramp, holdinghand and space for wheel chair; improving caregivers and community knowledge, practice and participation to support children during learning at home.  SC will also conduct further training and mentoring on Emergent Literacy and Math (ELM) and improve capacity of Master Trainers and supervisors in conducting monitoring and mentoring using available communication channels. The project will strengthen the service providers' capacities, such as the PKK (family welfare program), Puskesmas (primary health care service), and Posyandu (health post) cadres, for better linkages to ECCD centres and continue strengthening of health and protection services. In addition, we will continue supporting caregivers in positive-parenting learnings through parenting sessions  

B.      Objectives  

The main objective of this consultancy work is to support Implementation of TRANSISI Project and Pooled Fund - Harmony Project, response Covid-19 pandemic and support project staff conduct  monitoring and mentoring for 30 assisted ECCD in project targets areas  

C.      Consultant Scope of work  

The consultant is expected to undertake specific role including:  

Work with proejct staff, facilitating training on ELM, ELM at home and training teachers on how to conduct remote learning using available communication platform  

Support project staff to conduct monitoring and coaching with considering Covid-19 protocol  

Processing the provision of reading books, in-door and out-door learning mterial, Covid-19 back to school equipment, hygiene kits and distribute to the target ECCDs  

Support project team conducting worskhop/meeting for school committee as emergency team in ECCD  

Support Master Tranier, teachers and parents in during Learning from Home (LFH)  

Support MEAL staff in collecting project evidence
