The 1000 Days Fund seeks to hire a Research & Impact Intern to work with a small team of development professionals, providing project management, advisory service, and technical assistance to a variety of external clients, including governments, universities, the World Bank, and NGOs. The Intern will support technical assistance engagements to clients, business development for specific client engagements, and deliver on client and donor commitments, including knowledge management and reporting. This position will be based in Jakarta. Our programmes and projects are the most successful when we are able to document and measure their impact accordingly. By doing so, we understand their effectiveness and make adjustments where necessary, with an eye on replication and scaling. Candidates should have a strategic and analytical mind-set; able to conceptualise and apply measurement frameworks. The Intern Associate, will be responsible for supporting ongoing technical assistance initiatives. Responsibilities will evolve as we grow our services and portfolio of programs and projects. Generally, responsibilities will include the following:


Support technical specialists in delivering high quality technical assistance in the areas of:


●  Assessments: Context and stakeholder analysis, background research, report drafting


●  Stunting intervention design: Supporting field-level data collection, stakeholder


interviews, systems analysis, workshop facilitation


●  Anti-stunting implementation: Designing and delivering training curriculum, work


planning and process mapping


●  Learning and documentation: knowledge product creation


●  Support business development and fundraising, including proposal development for


large foundations


●  Create knowledge products, case studies, and presentations for external audiences


●  Organize and/or represent the 1000 Days Fund in global and local events to enhance


learning and adaptation of the 1000 Days Fund approach

2. Ability to be flexible and effective in the face of unexpected challenges

3. Excellent communication skills including exemplary interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written, required to effectively engage with leadership, partners, and clinicians

4. Humility, a sense of service and curiosity, as well as a demonstrated commitment to tackling seemingly impossible problems
